If we lift together we can do much!

Exited and beautiful faces with cake all over the face!

It was a marvelous sight after we had distributed sodas, cakes, and sweets to more than 300 children in the midst of the slum of Kabiria. The children sat as kings and queens outside the church holding on to their bottle of soda. Many of these children had never drunk soda before, or owned a whole bottle just for them. "Let the small children come to me!" Jesus said!

It is always the parents and the grown-ups that get a lot of attention in our food distributions in Kabiria. I was thinking that I want to do something special for all the small children and specially for the children that are in our sponsorship program. What could be more fun fore the children than a party? It was a great success and many of the parents came and said thank you on behalf of their little ones. It was a special day of joy in the slum of Kabiria.

I received a very touching letter from a young girl named Mirjam Murungi.

She wrote that she was thanking Jesus because He had sent me to them, and that all her friends was so happy because of the party. They had enjoyed so much and they were so thankful for all the gifts. She told me that I had to bring greetings to Norway. She told me that I had to sing a special song when I read the letter; " Making melody in my heart, make melody in my heart, making melody in my heart is a gift from God"
I did not read that letter until we had left the church and was sitting in the taxi on our way "home" to FPFK guest house. I was touched in my heart and had to cry for those words of a little girl
